I want to share my experience at Bon Appétit Kebab, Elda, not only because it was unpleasant and repulsive, but because I sincerely care about this place continuing to serve food to the public. If this review helps even one person think twice before entering, it will have served its purpose. TWO BROTHERS, A RUNAWAY BUSINESS The establishment is run by two brothers. One of them, apparently the owner, is almost never there because he works at another restaurant. The one who is always there, and who will probably be the one serving you, is an easy-to-recognize guy: always wearing a cap, a beard, and a sour face. I say this not as a superficial description, but because his attitude leaves a lot to be desired from the very first moment. This man has no understanding of politeness, customer service, or, much less, hygiene. His manner is curt, rude, with a lack of manners that borders on unpleasant. It seems as though he resents having to serve you. LACK OF HYGIENE AND UNACCEPTABLE MANNERS But the most worrying thing isn't their attitude... it's the absolute lack of hygiene. Honestly, this place should be urgently inspected. What I saw there is the closest thing to an unsanitary kitchen: dirty utensils, food scraps everywhere, and a way of handling food that's frightening. They don't wash their hands, they don't clean the surfaces between customers. They handle money, after smoking, they touch ingredients, and they continue handling the kebabs as if nothing happened. It's a total disaster. It's disgusting to see how they prepare food. And I'm not exaggerating. EXTREMELY LOW-QUALITY FOOD The food is another horror story. To begin with, the portions are ridiculously small. If you order a kebab with fries, be prepared to have four fries added, which are not counted correctly. And if we're talking about the meat... it's burnt, dry, and literally charred. Absolute nonsense. And this isn't just a one-off. The last time I went (and it will be the last, guaranteed), I saw him trying to put a lump of meat on me that had been there for a while, in a corner away from the heat, caked, dry, and with a pitiful color. I told him no, that I didn't want anything like that, and I just left. He didn't even bother to change it or hide it. He couldn't care less. A PLACE THAT SHOULD NOT BE OPEN This isn't just a bad experience. It's a warning. What's happening at this place is neither normal nor acceptable. Between the total lack of hygiene, the terrible quality of the food, the unpleasant service, and the absolute disregard for doing things right, Bon Appétit Kebab in Elda is a place you shouldn't go near under any circumstances. If the health inspection were to come by, they wouldn't last two days open. I'm convinced they'd find more than one reason to close that place. CONCLUSION: DON'T GO, EVEN OUT OF CURIOSITY Uneducated staff with no desire to serve you Non-existent hygiene, careless handling of food Burnt meat, dry globs, and few fries Dirty atmosphere, poor portions, and a feeling of abandonment A place that makes you want to leave before ordering I will NEVER return. If you're reading this and were thinking of going, do yourself a favor and choose somewhere else. There are many kebabs in Elda, but this is by far the worst I've seen. And the worst part is that they don't seem to care in the least. Bon Appétit Kebab: an ironic name for a place where eating is almost a threat.
